For a startle, the educational system here, in India, focuses mainly and majorly on the book-learning part of what is actually meant by education. Other curriculum such as sports is given slight importance than what it actually deserves. The reason why this happens is due to the concomitant that we need to be good in studies to describe a good job is why this happens. It is only the public orbit companies which offer jobs on sports quota. I feel if the private companies start offering jobs through the sports quota, the interest would be back in sports.
