1. The text discusses several modes of studying human race behavior. These include the case study, naturalistic observation, correlational statisticsal research, survey research, and the data-based method. If you were going to design a study investigating the birth between intoxicant and violence, which of these methods would you choose and why? Correlational research method is the method chosen to study the relationship between alcohol and violence. This is a basic research method the psychologist uses to measure how twain or more variables ar cerebrate or associated. He observes and makes predictions to see if changes in one variable ar related to changes in the other. This method will guarantee the validity and trueness of the observed correlation between the variables, and is the closest method to earn and effect (Allyn and Bacon, 2002). For example, there is a correlation between tuition and income. People, who have more years of education, usually have a higher income.



Therefore, a predication can be do because there is a correlation between these two variables (Purpose, para 2).
As the example previously given, there is a correlation between alcoholism and violence which the psychologists can link authorized characteristics to lounge abouther, such as the perpetrator, the victim, and isolation of family. The characteristics of control and power are common in both alcoholism and violence and seen in the perpetrator (AAA.com). The characteristics of depression and low self-esteem can been seen in the perpetrator and the victim, therefore they use alcohol as a coping mechanism, which is a form of escape.
