INTRODUCTION:
Romans 10:9 is the verse quoted, whether word-from-word or paraphrased, in giving our have it aways to Christ. A lot of people have done that yet sadly a lot of people do not live as though theyve done it. As of today I will break down the meaning of Salvation from an gray-haired volition view point and from a New volition view point. I believe that in doing this we will in all be motivated to live in the life of Salvation.

I. Salvation in the superannuated Testament
Yasa is a Hebrew word that much appears in the Old Testament and it means to save, to help in distress, to rescue, deliver and to set free. In speaking of deliverance, the Old Testament speaks of it as something physical or materialistic. In fact throughout the entire Bible, the deliverance or redemption is seen from Noahs family to the keen multitude who shout Salvation belongs to our divinity, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!(Rev. 7:10)
Lastly, we learn from Isaiah 43:14 and Hosea 1:7, salvation is associated to God; He is the only one that saves us.



Isaiah 30:15 also tells us that repentance and rest is our salvation, we find strength in quietness and trust.
Not only we find salvation in the Old Testament but it continues in the New Testament.
II. Salvation in the New Testament
The name Immanuel, God with us, signifies progression in the history of salvation. In the Gospel of Matthew an angel tells Joseph name the babe in Marys womb deliverer because he will save his people from their sins(Mt. 1: 21-23). The name Jesus comes from the Hebrew Joshua which itself means salvation. The New Testament continues to affirm the Old Testament that salvation belongs to God alone. We learn from Peter that salvation only belongs to the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:10-12).
