I am from Sue and John, Frankie and Donna, and Louise
I am a daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, sister and aunt
I have loved and been loved, hurt and been hurt
From the connect of Madison County to the Field of Dreams, I am an Iowan,
a Hawkeye, a Cedar Rapidian, a former J-Hawk
From the floods of 1992 and most importantly and sad the floods of 2008
From blue collar factory workers and farmers, fisherman and hunters
Weekends willed with bonfires, camping, trout fishing, four peal and fish frys
I am an athlete, a scholar, a photographer and an animal lover
I am witty, sarcastic, caring, sweet
From the Semi Charmed vivification of Third Eye Blind to the sweet chords of Boyd Tinsley of the Dave Matthews Band eventide on to the Big Green Tractor of Jason Aldean
I am from the understructure of Quaker Oats and where you wished every day could be Crunch pluck day
Big bangs and feathered hair, tight-rolled jeans and hammer pants, shoulder pads and limb warmers
NKOTB, Boyz to Men, Madonna, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany….

Spending summers at Blue Star Camps, Hendersonville, NC…..a stick to generate yourself, be a kid, grow up, be somebodys mentor
Now I am also a Buckeye. No longer assumeing in the shadows of early(a)s. I stand on my own two feet
Throughout this journey to find myself away from who I thought I was I realize that my friends are the family my heart has chosen
