United Way Howard County

Introduction
The United focal point of Howard County is a part of a national leadership organization for the United Way Movement, and is one of the voices of the uniqueness of American philanthropy. It leads the movement through public relations, national trade name advertising, caution of relationships with corporate and philanthropic partners, as well as the federal government. United Way provides world-class support run to local anesthetic counties that include training, consultation, mediation, conferencing, national research, and assessment tools. The United Way of Howard County (UWHC) is run by a board of trustees which concentrates on strategic leadership, resource and relationship development, reputation building, stewardship and system assets, performance management and measurement, and public policy and advocacy. Each candidate to UWHCs Board of Trustees should take a specific set of personal attributes that include a passion for the United Ways mission and vision.
