There are over 6.7 billion people in the entire world, and according to AVGs latest hugs for hackers ad incline 70 million of those people switched to their latest flagship output. Their latest ad campaign focuses on these hackers that are portrayed as worst guys/gals. The specific ad Im focusing on from this campaign is that of a teen girl holding a laptop, who seems to go by Cybers1ren. The ad is from Wired magazines June 2008 issue and has popped up in the magazine several clock afterwards. Although by now the whole campaign has been discontinued the ad is still very relevant. The ad is of a hacker rest in dark l onely street. One which you might sweep up harbors thugs and thieves and in doing so creates a likeness between hackers and very thieves. This creates a powerful message that uses both humor and f echt language to sell you on the idea that AVG can hold dear you and your valuable data. This humorous take and satire of Hackers is just one of the many things that make AVGs 2008 print ads very effective.
