I have chosen to characterize Mr. coddle from the extracts from Oliver bout (1838)
Mr. baffle is the beadle in Olivers native town.
Oliver, who has been in cargon of Mrs. Mann, has turned nine years old and is, accord to Mr. waste, now old enough to work in the Workhouse.
Mr. Bumble is a humankind with power and he exploits it when he sends Oliver breaking wind to the workhouse when he turned nine years. He is a despot and does as he pleased. He is a cruel man who is careless when it comes to a nine year old squirt working in the Workhouse. Mr. Bumble knows that the workhouse isnt a skinny place for children but he still force Oliver Twist to live there.
Mrs. Mann ushered the beadle into a small parlour with a brick grace; placed a seat for him; and officiously deposited his cocked hat and lambast on the table before him. Mr. Bumble wiped from his forehead the diaphoresis which his walk had engendered; glanced complacently at the cocked hat; and smiled. Yes, he smiled. Beadles are but men; and Mr. Bumble smiled.
The cocked hat indicates a pissed man and that type of hat is worn by soldiery men in the 19th century . It is strangely why Mr. Bumble wears a cocked hat when he is only a beadle. He is very proud of his cocked hat and when he looks at it he smiles.
You get the impression that Mr. Bumble is in mischievousness shape when you contain that he has a cane. And that is Confirmed when we read further down where it says that Mr. Bumble wipes off his forehead from hidrosis which his walk had engendered.
The beadle drew himself up with great pride, and said, I invented it.
Mr. Bumble is a man with lot of confidence in himself. He finds that his idea of the alphabetical name station is brilliant. He draws upkeep to himself and brags about what he is good at. He feels that he is give out than other people even though he is a minor church official.
