Observation Report
I will be the first to involve that I got a late start on this project. I worried when it was announced in class practiced onwards thanksgiving that if we hadnt done our observation yet it talent be challenging to find an event to observe. I thinking about it and it made sense, the holiday season was upon us and the courts may be taking some time mangle. Fortunately for me, I was able to make a few phone calls on Monday morning November 30th and find some court proceedings going on early in the week. I called tidy sum to the U.S. judgeship of Appeals, 11th Circuit and talked to a very subservient receptionist. She told me that court would be in session beginning at 9am on Tuesday and ending around lunch. I knew this was my chance. I draw my alarm and sighed with relief.
I moderate been to county court before for pocket-sized proceedings, so I had some idea of what to expect. However, the title U.S. Court of Appeals had me thinking grand things about what I may be getting myself into. As I drove into downtown Atlanta, I had images of some sort of wrongly accused gangster benevolent his conviction to the court of appeals and being represented by a loud and strongly opinionated attorney. Maybe I would perk up the judge overturn a previous courts ruling and a whole family hug tearfully.

imagined that the building would have a stone, gothic aspect façade like so many court buildings do. As I turned off of Martin Luther King Blvd. and onto Forsyth St. I began searching for a gothic looking courthouse and that is exactly what I found.
Parking was not hard to find, just a few blocks away in a commit by the hour lot. It would cost me seven dollars for three hours. It was a touch after 9am and I was not feeling late. pass down the street I felt a spot of excitement and anticipation.
